I Suggest They Question Jeremy Clarkson

Clarkson pied, Oxford

When is a bombing campaign not terrorism? When it’s likely to be white people doing it. Duh.

Funny how I’ve read lots of the reports of these bombings and pretty much all that I’ve read scrupulously fail to mention the word terrorism.

Nothing to see here, move along.

Letter bomb injures DVLA worker

Police have placed a cordon around the area
A woman has been injured by a letter bomb which exploded at the main DVLA centre in South Wales, police say.

The attack, which happened shortly before 0930 GMT, is the third of its kind on motoring-related companies in three consecutive days.

Police said the latest blast happened in the post room of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency in Swansea.

An accountancy firm in Berkshire was targeted on Tuesday, and the central London offices of Capita on Monday.

I guess the ‘T” word only applies when it’s brown people and non-Christians doing the bombing. White drivers’ bombs are just an annoying inconvenience. Apparently these incidents are being investigated by something called the ‘Domestic Extremism Unit”. What were the tube bombings then, if not domestic? Or did I misundetsand that the bombers were from Yorkehire… like er, Jeremy Clarkson?

Seriously, they really should question Clarkson under caution, scour his newspaper columns and subpoena Top Gear’s message boards: every week on national television and in the columns of a national newspaper Clarkson notes examples of ‘direct action’, like blowing up speed cameras, wiith smug approbation. Let’s face it, Clarkson’s objectively in favour of terrorism.

Send him to Gitmo.

Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt, washed the t-shirt 23 times, threw the t-shirt in the ragbag, now I'm polishing furniture with it.

But don’t you see? All those hard-earned lessons on sensitivity and community relations are finally paying off, and the next non-white terrorism suspect will certainly benefit from this enlightened new policy!

I don’t know if you’ve bothered to read up on comments made by people relating to this, but Jeremy Clarkson has spoken out AGAINST the letter bombs. A quote from the Sun newspaper today:

“Last night Sun columnist Jeremy Clarkson — who has waged a war against road charge companies — described the attacks as “despicable”. Clarkson, who also presents the BBC’s motoring show Top Gear, said: “Sending a letter bomb is a despicable thing to do. These office workers are only doing their job. They do not create the policies.””

He is NOT the anti-social animal you make him out to be. Your comment is potentially slanderous and deeply offensive to Jeremy himself and his fans, too. Now you know his opinion, I suggest you make a quick apology to Jeremy himself, Top Gear and Jeremy’s fans, too. Some stupid individuals will leap on ANY opportunity possible to have a go at him, and these attacks are usually poorly-informed, wide-of-the-mark, foundationless drivel. Belt up.

    Oh dear. Do clam down.

Perhaps you’d like to point out the actual libel in my post. (Btw, written material is libellous, not slanderous.)What I wrote is certainly fair comment given Jeremy Clarkson’s self-sought status as a public figure and the statements he has made publicly in the past.

Besides, there was so much irony in that post it *clanked*. If you’d ever visited this blog before other than to look for potential defamation suit fooder after googling for Clarkson’s name, you’d know that.

Have you a connection with Mr. Clarkson or his production company, by any chance? You do seem to be trying to sound dreadfully official. If that’s the case, I suggest you declare it.

And for the record, I AM a Top Gear fan. I never miss it, although I don’t drive or own a car – I appreciate a bit of fine engineering as much as the next blogger. James and the one who had his teeth whitened are funny.

I just think Clarkson is a rabble rousing and self-indulgent arse; amusing, yes, but still an arse.
