Bush- crony and US Attorney General Alberto Gonzales visited Georgetown University, DC today to defend the illegal use of the NSA to spy on domestic opponents. Alarge number of students stood, turned their backs on him and unrolled a banner saying ‘Those who would sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither’.
These are the elite students that will become future US government lawyers and senior civil servants, journalists and editors, and unlikely to put their future careers at risk. They can see which way the wind is blowing.
