Yes, Debra, There Is a Santa Claus

Quote of the week, and it’s only Monday…

Susan Walsh, an AP photojournalist and president of the White House News Photographers Association, quoted in Editor & Publisher, on the White House’s control freakery re WH events photography:

“Would anyone on the word side take a press release and regurgitate it verbatim and publish it in the newspaper as legitimate news,” she asked. “Of course not.”

Oh, how sweeet. I’ll bet she has fairies at the bottom of her garden too.

Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt, washed the t-shirt 23 times, threw the t-shirt in the ragbag, now I'm polishing furniture with it.

I find this comment actually very insulting towards OUR FORCES !!!

“The eldest, Euan, born in 1984, has proved a bit of a yob, ending up in court for being “drunk and incapable” – sounds ideal for the Army”

Do you class all of our service personnel like this ?? I have served in Iraq, and several other places, alongside these people that you are quite clearly generalising here. They are not Yobs, nor when they are on Operations overseas are they Drunk & Incapable. I know very well the capabilities and the restrictions placed on our Forces having been one of them. You should be PROUD of them rather than class them all like Tony Blairs Son. As for Euan, we wouldn’t want him in the Forces, short in numbers that they are, he would be a liability.
