Asteroid Strikes and Roses

Today I’m having a day off politics, I’m just too bloody disgusted with the world. Mainly because of this, this and this, but mostly this.
Good riddance to the lot of them.

So while I was contemplating the imminent ecological apocalypse and gloating over ways to vicariously smite my enemies (as one does) I came across this very cool page of Quicktime movies of various tsunami scenarios by Stephen Ward of USC.

Contemplating imaginary watery cataclysms is very satisfying when you’re fed up to the back teeth of humanity.
But now I need some soothing balm for my psyche, so I’m off to potter around the garden for a bit. There’s some roses need deadheading and some clematis to tie in – I may even go mad and go to the market for some ferns for the shady bare corner under the Virginia creeper.
There’s a crop of baby slugs to be disposed of, too. I shall name them after Bush and Blair, pour salt on them and watch them writhe horribly in their gummy death throes. Vindictive, me ? Hey, we all need to sublimate in our own way, mine at least is ecologically friendly, if somewhat mucus-y.

Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt, washed the t-shirt 23 times, threw the t-shirt in the ragbag, now I'm polishing furniture with it.
