The spectre of substantial job losses within the Labour party loomed today, as the party announced a “radical restructuring” of its finances.
In the wake of the “loans for peerages” affair and massive deficits run up by the party during last year’s general election campaign, Labour are looking to slash 20% from their running costs.
With a workforce of around 230 paid employees that could mean major job losses for the organisation.
