A more apposite question might be “Is throwing Chimpy from the train the RNC’s last best hope for rescuing them from the electoral chop come November?”
After all, Bush is a lame duck now and they probably think there’s more to be gained than lost by blaming the hellish past years on Bush’s innate stupidity. One of the commentators even seemed to be lining him up to cop a medical incapacity plea.
Shorter Republican media strategy – “It was all him, yeronner, we din’t do nuthin”.
