Needy, Weedy Reedy
I loved Creative Loafing when I lived in midtown Atlanta in the early to mid-eighties.
Then, it was a scruffy, dog-eared newsprint weekly based in Little 5 Points, that carried ads for vegan, gay, shiatsu-practitioner roommates, long before it was fashionable, and for B-52’s and REM gigs at the Agora Ballroom, while they were still Athens college bands. Ahh, nostalgia.
The paper’s more corporate now, but still carries the odd gem, like The Book of Ralph:
Georgia may be deep in the Bible Belt, but there’s still some heretics left.
