Four Guilty Men
Finally, we get the IPCC report on the criminal death of Christopher Alder after his arrest following an evening out that turned nasty. Christopher was actually the complainant, but ended up dead.
The Humberside police force investigated itself, twice, and surprise surprise, found no-one guilty of anything. The inquest found Christopher was unlawfully, killed, and the policemen involved were charged with manslaughter. The judge directed an acquittal – all four walked away, and were reinstated at the behest of the Chief Constable, who denied that his force had done anything wrong and still insiststhat his officers had been wrongly accused and acquitted without a stain on their characters.
But they should have a stain on their characters. The IPCC has now placed the blame squarely where it belongs, on these 4 laughing, callous, racist policemen. They let a black man die, because he was black. It’s on video (pdf transcript).
So let’s make sure everyone knows who these racist fuckers are, shall we? Name and shame all racists, I say. These bastards were public servants, we paid them. Their names are public information .
The four officers are disputing the report. They still maintain they did nothing wrong, even though we’ve seen on them on fucking video. The four are:

Martin Barr
Neil Blakely
Nigel Dawson
Mark Ellerington
Do I feel sorry that by publicising their names they could be identified? No not at all. They let a man die, walked calmly away into the sunset, and were even given a nice little golden handshake, courtesy of the taxpayer. No-one has been punished. and someone’s son is still dead. So let people point and stare at them. It’s much much less than they deserve and it’s certainly not justice.
My own son has been arrested, more than once, as so many of our sons are liable to be, having as they have the temerity to walk around being non-white. Christopher Alder could’ve been my son, or yours, choking to death helplessly there on the floor while they made racist jokes. Although these four were granted early retirement in 2004, many more fuckers like them are still in the police force. The case of Christopher Alder is only one amongst many.
Christopher Alder’s death wasn’t a tragedy, though it was tragic – it was a crime, and no-one has ever paid for it. As for the apology from the current Chief Constable, it’s too late, means nothing and solves nothing. The Chief Constable then in office is still denying responsibility, those four police officers, despite making monkey noises and racist comments while he lay dying – it’s on fucking video– are still denying they did a damned thing wrong.
Please repost their names. Punishment in the court of public opinion may be small justice and not much real comfort for the Alder family, but hey, it’s justice of a sort.
