Cat and mouse case for cops
Police were called in after a cat tried to pull a mouse out of a jam jar and got its head stuck.
Officers said the incident was reminiscent of a Tom and Jerry cartoon, reports the Peterborough Evening Telegraph.
A motorist went to a police station for help after finding the cat wandering beside a road in Peterborough, with the jar on its head and the mouse millimetres from its nose.
A receptionist and three officers pulled and twisted but were unable to release the cat.
Eventually the animal freed itself – and the mouse – by smashing the jar on the floor of Thorpe Wood police station.
“It was like a scene from Tom and Jerry,” said a police spokeswoman.

Dutch Joker’s ID card prank
A Dutchman has been issued with an ID card featuring a picture of himself dressed as Batman’s enemy The Joker.
The man, from Hellevoetsluis, persuaded officials that he had to wear the costume because of his religious beliefs.
He wanted to challenge new rules introduced last year in Holland, restricting the way people are allowed to pose for passport and ID card photos.
The Dutch Ministery of Interior Affairs insists people must keep their mouths closed and must look serious when posing for photos.
A head dress, for religious reasons is permitted, but the whole face must be shown clearly.
There’s a lot to be learnt from the Dutch.

Paris and Jenna to Show Virgins the Ropes?

When you think of Paris Hilton and Jenna Jameson, the last thing you probably think is … virgins.And yet, sources tell TMZ that famed on-camera sexhibitionists Hilton and Jameson have been contacted about “participating” in a reality show currently in production called “Virgin Territory,” in which a group of the uninitiated will find their way to the promised land. Ironically, it’s being brought to TV by the purveyor of Paris’ sex tape, Kevin Blatt, who predicts that even more people will watch “Territory” than “One Night in Paris,” Hilton’s infamous night-visioned romp.
To help stock his TV larder, Blatt will be unveiling giant billboards in Times Square and Los Angeles; soliciting actual, live virgins in those cities. “Finding virgins in NYC or Los Angeles is no easy task,” says Blatt.
