The science fiction helps

Sandra is not doing well, as is to be expected, but while she’s getting weaker, there still is the possibility that she can hang on a while longer, as her stubborn body fights her will to die… Not a nice position to be in. Sadly, there isn’t much we can do to help her, other than be there.

For myself, it’s all right as long as I don’t have to think too much.

Update: forgot to mention what also helps a lot is the well wishes and sympathy you all have shown over this. Thank you.

Still thinking of you both. If you need more help than mere kind thoughts, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Of my sympathy, you have it in abundance.

Does science fiction in the movies or TV shows do anything for you? You write so frequently (and so well) about science fiction in literature as well as comic books (did I just make a gaffe there?) but I seldom see you write about it in movies/TV, at least IIRC. Do other media, especially visual media, get no respect in the hardcore sci fi community (of which I would only count myself a member in terms of affinities but not in terms of knowledge and books read). I’m a huge fan myself of a number of shows and movies and I’ve wondered this for a while.
