This is largely due to overreliance on police statements &#8212; first priority to them is &#8220;maintaining public order&#8221; and they blame the counterdemonstrators for making this difficult. Having racists march through their cities in an attempt at intimidation is not a problem as long as nobody tries to stop them. Because that&#8217;s when you get riots. Like in Stoke.\n<\/li>\n<li>\nNot a new phenomenon of course. Remember <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Battle_of_Cable_Street\">the Battle of Cable Street<\/a>.\n<\/li>\n<li>\nDespite police resistance however, the UAF protesters still managed to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.socialistworker.co.uk\/art.php?id=20637\">drive the EDL off the streets<\/a>.\n<\/li>\n<li>\nIt&#8217;s teh gays what caused Srebrenica! <a href=\"http:\/\/www.themonkeycage.org\/2010\/03\/did_gays_in_the_dutch_military.html\">Umm, no.<\/a> But Christ, what an asshole.\n<\/li>\n<li>\nThat odious little twrp Kammmm tried to smear Kurt Vonnegut&#8217;s reputation again.
