Why did nobody tell me that Stewart Lee and Richard Herring, the Mitchell and Webb of the nineties, have uploaded all their old Fist of Fun and This Morning With Richard, Not Judy shows to Google Video? You can find them all convienently at Stewart Lee’s website.

Don’t forget to watch his latest show, Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle, tomorrow on BBC2. The first two epsiodes have already been broadcasted and it may have been my imagination, but at certain points it looked as if he was waiting for Richard Herring to jump in, at least in his head…

Ex-king of Nepal will have his electricity cut if he doesn’t pay his bills:

Nepal’s former royals must pay unpaid bills of more than $1m within 15 days or power to their homes could be cut off, the state utility company says.

The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) says the former royals must pay arrears dating back several years for power to 22 palaces and bungalows.

It is a further blow to a family which ruled for centuries before the monarchy was abolished in May.

Chopping off their heads is a powerful tradition for dealing with superfluous monarchs it’s true, but you have to admire the utter and complete humiliation the Nepalese have inflicted here, to be cut off like the meanest commoner.

In a completely unrelated story, Chrome, Google’s spiffy new browser has a socalled incognito mode: “For times when you want to browse in stealth mode, for example, to plan surprises like gifts or birthdays, Google Chrome offers the incognito browsing mode. Webpages that you open and files downloaded while you are incognito won’t be logged in your browsing and download histories; all new cookies are deleted after you close the incognito window. You can browse normally and in incognito mode at the same time by using separate windows.”

An incognito mode to plan surprises. Suuure. Better make sure to wipe the keyboard and screen as well after you’ve “planned”your “surprise”.
